With over 35 years of experience in food safety and over 15 years auditing Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), Food Safety Specialists is a professional consulting firm that specializes in addressing all matters related to safety, quality, and compliance for all product categories in the food industries.

Our mission is to ensure our clients receive the utmost attention to maintain their brand name protection through proven food safety practices. We act as stewards of our clients’ resources, expending only what is necessary to achieve their primary goals.

Food Safety Specialists work with food manufacturers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Over the years, we have worked with Hello Fresh, Kings Hawaiian, Feeding America, Klements Sausage, Pillsbury, Kerry Ingredients, Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Quaker Oats, and Suzy's Cream Cheesecake.

Kathleen Gilbert

Kathleen has been in the food industry for the past 30 years and has been a food safety consultant for the past 20 years. Previous to consulting Kathleen’s two major employers were “The Pillsbury Co.” and “Quaker Oats”.
