CONSULTING & AUDITING

Our Services

Food Safety Specialists provide SPF & BRC consulting and auditing services. We also offer support regarding general food safety, quality, and HACCP.

The FSMA requires all food-related suppliers to follow specific guidelines such as having a HACCP food safety program which shall include a supplier approval program, an allergen program, etc. With the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and globalization, it is necessary to ensure suppliers follow a sound food safety platform such as the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

There are 2 main platforms that have taken hold in the USA and are supported by GFSI. These platforms are:

  • SQF – Safe Quality Food

  • BRC – British Retail Consortium.

Food Safety Specialists provide consulting services in both SQF and BRC. We also offer support regarding general food safety, quality, and HACCP along with regulatory and crisis management.

Our consultants help you understand upcoming timelines and budgets, write your SOPs, assist in their implementation, and support during any certification audit. We help you ensure your food safety and quality programs deliver the critical information you need. Our goal is to continuously improve process controls and adherence to regulatory requirements. Food Safety Specialists also help you to develop and document effective contingency plans.

FSMA Consulting

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulates the nation’s food safety system by shifting the focus from responding to foodborne illness to preventing it. The Food Safety Modernization Act reduces foodborne sickness and fatalities. The main aim of FSMA is to regularize food safety ensuring public health and economic well-being of the food system. The FSMA grants the Food Development Authority (FDA)  to undertake guidance documents, plans, strategies and standards.

FSMA rules are specifically designed to make clear specific actions that must be taken care of to prevent contamination. The FSMA has given FDA authority to regulate the way foods are grown, harvested and processed. The primary challenge is that companies face involves knowing which rules to implement. The rules embrace preventive controls specific necessities for foreign foods, food safety inspections and the hygienic transportation of foods. Food Safety Specialists help companies conduct an analysis and develop a plan.
